Firefox 3.5
Rolling out soon is another version of the much used FireFox Browser from Mozilla, one of the world’s biggest names in browsers that took the crown from IE. Microsoft has released IE8 but still many prefer the open-source counterparts due to their apparent speed compared to IE. IE has been known to guzzle up resources and tends to have a huge overhead but surprisingly, testing resulted in FireFox having a little more in terms of disk space consumption when it comes to the temporary files it saves on disk.
This might be the case but Mozilla still has a faster product compared to the newer IE, the scheduled release for FireFox 3.5 is on June 30, 2009 when Mozilla takes it out of beta and introduces the full-blown version. Users of the Beta have the option of upgrading theirs but it is recommended that a full uninstall and re-install is in order to get a better performing browser. This eliminates any complications with respect to plugins allowing a more stable install.
