The much hyped .NET framework has changed the way the internet operated in a way that information is not stored on concentrated powerful servers but scattered all over the place. This places the user at the helm and information is more distributed to where it is needed most. It also allows for smaller data centers in the true spirit of the .NET framework enterprises have had to re-think their business applications worked. They now have faster and smaller data centers distributed around the world with only the information that is needed kept and stored within it. No all week back-up processing in order to save all the processed data into one huge repository. The data is processed online, and the ones that have to be stored are kept with the other data needed by the head offices getting only the processed data they need.
